“My Live Diary” – Love Letter

“What is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?” Psalm 8:4 (NIV)

In my conversations with God, I like to say, “who am I that you are mindful of me?”, or when praying for us, “who are we that you are mindful of us”.

When I went back through some of my journals, I was in awe of what God has done.  I was in awe of the things that I had written down, hoping and praying for, actually coming to fruition.

Write the Vision and make it Plain

  • 2012, I wrote entries of my desire to stay at home. I drew sketches of what is now my logo for my blog, not knowing what would actually come from it.

  • 2013, to be a good wife, support my children – to be there! Put my family first before work.

  • 2014, to LOVE, SUPPORT, HELP.

  • 2015, to seek first the kingdom, LOVE, LISTEN, LEARN and biblical counsel.

Entry after entry, I thanked God; thanked Him for things that hadn’t happened, yet, have happened years later.

He is mindful of us – always.

In Love

I’ve heard people say they are in love with God.

I love God but now I can honestly say that I am in love with Him.

He showed me His true faithfulness in a way I could see, feel and understand. I’m in an entire different place in Him than I have been in the past. My prayer has been for Him to put me in a place where I can only count on Him for everything. I want to go to a different level –  and this has cost me a lot (another story, another time)!

Right now, I want to write Him a love letter:

Love Letter

Dear Father,

I love you. Thank you for always being there for me in the most deepest way. The way no one else ever could. You understand me and you know me. You created me. How can I know my own way? I can’t. Only you know the way. You give me the choice to follow your way or not. I thank you in that while I was still a sinner, you (your son Christ) died for me (see Romans 5:8). Yes, you did. It’s no fairy tale, it actually happened.

Your son (Christ) is love, sacrificial, unwavering, long suffering, merciful and infinite. Love incomprehensible. Only you and I know who I really am; my deepest thoughts that sometimes do not align with yours. Your love never fails and I am forever grateful. In the midst of my despair, you are there. You show me your faithfulness over and over again. It may not be in the time frame I would like and it may not look like how I think it should – it’s YOUR way and it’s always better than mine. You spoke life into the world and you spoke life into all humanity. You speak life into me every breath that I take!

Selah: Pause and Calmly Think About That

There is no way I could ever repay you for what you have done for me. I hope and pray that I continue to be a living testimony of your greatness and love even in my worst moments of life. I thank you that I can be this un-perfect being that I am (and always will be) yet, serve you who is perfect and stands in the gap for me. Your blood covers me. For those who do not know you, I pray they one day will. When I look back on my life, from childhood to present, I know you’ve been there because I’m still standing.  Unknown to my enemies, you sent your angels to watch over me.

As I continue to press into your will, I will hide under your wings and seek shelter (see Psalm 91). Your world promises me life in abundance under your covering. Your word does not return to you void lest, you cease to exist. Your word foretold the story and all has and will come to pass. May I remain faithful til the end.

Love, Shante

Your Turn

Can you relate? Look back on your life and ponder what God has done for you. Write Him a love letter. Share your story! May God’s love rest upon you; body, soul and spirit.

Listen to “I Lord You Lord”.
