Are You Quick to Let Things Go or Quick to Let Someone Have It?

Are you quick to let things go or quick to let someone have it?

I’ll admit, it’s not easy for me to let things go.

It also depends on who it is.

Still, doesn’t make it right.

But, I have a point to prove!

Still, doesn’t make it right.

Good thing is, I’m working on it.

What about you?

Listen to God

Hear counsel, receive instruction, and accept correction, that YOU may be wise in the time to come” (see Proverbs 19:20).

What do you think about that?

For me, I know it’s true, it’s just sometimes not that easy.

Good thing is, I’m working on it.

So, how do we know when to oppose an issue with someone and when to let it go?

We should ask ourselves the following:

  • Are we really thirsty to set someone straight?

Chances are, it may not be God prompting us.

To oppose someone on an issue, it must be done in LOVE. To build them up, not to bring them down.

  • We must pray and wait for God to show us what to do.
  • We must be lead by the Holy Spirit.

After we have prayed and waited, if we still feel the need to confront someone, we should be completely sure it’s for their gain and not our own.

If we can’t do it, then we should let it go.

Another thing to note is, if God told us to confront someone, we may not even be comfortable doing so.

However, if we do, it will be done in obedience.

Whatever we do, let us do in LOVE.

Peace and Blessings,

Shante
